week#49 - Water Front...
No 'people shot' this week. Merely a simple street scene. From the dockside in Tananger where I live. I really enjoy walking about the harbour... its the most quiet place. This negative actually deserve a better destiny than being scanned for 72ppi display. A handcrafted genuine silver-gelatine print is coming up! Anyone in for a print-trade? Or simply buying a copy for you b&w print collection? I am printing this image full-frame on a 9x12 inch baryta coated Oriental Seagull Grade 4 paper - toning it it Selenium. Image size will be 10x7 inches. There IS no better way to present an image... ;-) Voigtlander Bessa R2 and the Color Skopar f2.5/50mm lens shot on Kodak Tri-X (TX400) exposed as EI-800 developed in HC-110 1:47 for 9 minutes 45 seconds in 20 degrees celcius. The image is scanned from the negative @1800 dpi (RGB) using a Minolta Scan Dual 2 and VueScan scanner software. Converted to true b&w, corrected for black/white point (levels) in addition to contrast and a small touch of USM. |
